EPS protective packaging

Polystyrene packaging has existed and remained in demand for decades, despite the wide range of alternative packaging materials. Why is that?

The main purpose of packaging is obviously to protect the product during delivery to the recipient. Shipping is typically carried out by logistics companies and may involve one or more distribution centers. This means multiple loading/unloading operations, sorting, and temporary storage in various temperature and climate conditions. Therefore, reliable packaging is essential for keeping the cargo safe.

Polystyrene combines cushioning properties with strength. It is resistant to shocks and impacts, can withstand compressive loads, and hardly absorbs water. It doesn’t rot and is resistant to microorganisms - all while being very lightweight!

To create effective packaging, the design must account for the size, shape, and weight of the transported items. Some products can be securely fixed inside cardboard boxes or wooden crates using inserts or shaped profiles. Others need to be completely "wrapped" in EPS on all sides.

If maintaining a specific temperature during transport is important, another property of polystyrene becomes valuable - its thermal insulation. For such cases, we offer thermoboxes which are airtight containers used to transport and store food products or medical supplies.

When you need to pack something highly unusual in small quantities, or a large variety of different shapes, designing special packaging for each item may be impractical. In such cases, our universal loose-fill packaging has proven to be an effective solution.

It’s worth noting that packaging is the most technically advanced part of our production. First, it offers creative freedom when designing the structure. Second, our clients who order packaging are manufacturers themselves. That means their orders often repeat, allowing us to improve designs over time and optimize the production process - which in turn increases packaging reliability.
